The company — which would allow consumers to keep track of their downloaded electronic-books, photos, music, movies and games through a personal, online ‘library’ — was a great idea, perhaps. But the sluggish adoption of high-speed Internet meant any meaningful demand for such a service was years away. Unable to raise further venture funding, the Silicon Alley start-up business was forced to shut its doors in 2001.”
– I have this feeling that we are entering a new dotcom era. This article tends to verify that feeling. Although the new era will not be as crazy as the last era there will be some great, stable, long term successes that come from it. -ed.
