Chatsworth Communications polled journalists, political groups and sustainability experts to come up with this year’s FTSE 100 Green Washers and Green Winners Survey, and the winner was clear. Winning 51% of the vote was retail icon Mark’s and Spencer, whose well-publicized “Plan A” campaign rang true with business and consumers across the region.
Whenever there’s a winner however, we know there must be a loser, and for this list, oil company BP came out on the bottom. A full 38% of voters aren’t buying the green claims that BP has been trying to sell, and accuse the global organization of green washing.
