There’s a recession, a housing slump, and a credit crunch, but the world hasn’t stopped rotating and we have to keep moving forward. The building industry is moving forward with green planning. According to the research conducted by McGraw-Hill Construction, more and more of the new buildings going up around us, are going to be green.
This year alone, $20 billion is expected to go into residential green building, with that percentage doubling by 2012. That probably has something to do with the fact that 40% of builders believe being green will help them sell their products in a slow market.
