Wisconsin is showing its respect to the green thumbs of its rural women, by believing in them enough to implement the Rural Women’s Project. The project provides what every small business needs, advice, training and mentors. This isn’t about selling Grandma’s homemade jam either, The Rural Women’s Project is encouraging women to explore organic farming and wind-power generation.
There are already over 7,000 female farmers in Wisconsin. Their inherent love of the environment allows for a natural evolution into any and all areas of green business, while technology allows them to connect with markets around the world.
