I’ve been using Google Alerts for quite some time to keep track of mentions of my name and websites from around the web. Nearly every day, the alerts tell me something new.
But I was surprised (and happy!) this week when an alert popped into my mailbox that showed I’d been quoted in the New York Times in a story about referral marketing. What’s really cool is that the story referenced my business referrals website. You can’t buy that kind of great publicity. And I never would have known about it without my Google Alerts.
If setting up your Google Alerts is still on your “to do” list, move it to the top now. You can’t afford to wait a minute longer.
