Sending out an email newsletter can be a lot of work. And the last thing you want to happen is for it to land in your subscriber’s inbox and be deleted right away. That’s why it’s important to use a title for your email newsletter that will entice your readers to open up the email newsletter and read what it has to say.
It really surprises me — since email newsletters have been around for so long — that I still get newsletters every month that contain boring, nondescriptive titles. Here’s an example. Just this month (and it’s only the third!), I have received five newsletters with the title “April Newsletter.” Pretty boring, huh? It’s a quick way to get your newsletter sent to the trash bin unread. And that would mean all your hard work down the drain.
Take the time to follow email newsletter best practices like the one listed in 5 Things Every Newsletter Should Contain.
