I’m breaking two of my own unofficial rules with this post. First rule is to not post during working hours and the second is to not post about my "real" workplace.
This is good enough for rule-breaking though. My employer, George Fox University, is offering a free semester of tuition to students of schools that can’t operate because of Hurricane Katrina. Depending on the program of study, this offer equates to upwards of $10,000 per student. As a school founded by Quakers, who have a history of social service and fiscal conservatism, this is really putting our money where our mouth is. It makes me proud to work here.
Way to go, President Brandt!
