Next time you sit in the office lunch room, take a good look around. How can we make our office meals and kitchen areas more environmental?
– Try and avoid unnecessary packaging. Have large containers for coffees, teas and sugars instead of small jars. Buy milk and biscuits in bulk.
– If you have to buy packaged food, choose recycled packaging material. There is usually a recycling sign on the packaging that will tell you.
– Recycle kitchen waste including paper, plastic, glass, aluminum and steel cans.
– Use porcelain cups and mugs instead of disposable cups. Each staff member can have their own labeled if wanted.
Aaaah, the food tastes better already!
