According to my trusty dictionary:
Evocative = Calling forth, developing, serving to bring to mind.
Provocative = To excite, stimulate.
Many managers, including myself, strive to be provocotive – and this is a good thing. But I wonder if we should not ALSO attempt to manage in a way that is evocative? Evocative management would bring out, call forth, team member knowledge and creativity.
Hmm.. Evocative Management – I like the sound of that.
