EnerNOC is ensuring that it practices what it preaches. They sell clean energy, they want people and companies to reduce their carbon, so they went out and purchased enough carbon credits to make 2007 a carbon neutral year for the company.
“As providers of clean energy solutions and conservation strategies, working to protect the environment is at the very core of our values as a company, and it’s important that we live that commitment on a daily basis across our organization,” commented David Brewster, EnerNOC’s president
They conducted a detailed analysis of their carbon footprint, taking into account business travel, employee commute time and their own electricity use. EnerNOC purchased their credits in areas that they operate, and what they bought were able to fund a Pennsylvanian methane system.
