A pink hammer.
That could be all you need to know about Tomboy Tools, which sells tools for women.
It’s all we needed to know. And then: how soon can we get one?
See, we’re not the sort of guys who enjoy domestic chores. Why shouldn’t women be the ones building herb boxes and fixing faucets? We’ll handle the beer and the remote.
But that’s the sort of liberated guys we are. If you’re not, maybe it’s time you had a talk with your inner Dr. Phil.
Denver-based Tomboy Tools was founded in 2000 by three handywomen who thought most tools were too big and heavy. (Amen to that.) So they came up with a line of pounders and planers and measurers and stuff made for do-it-herselfers.
Like the hammer, made for smaller hands, and the mini-hacksaw and the superlight torpedo level. (Torpedo what?)
You can buy tools for youself. Or you can buy a bunch of them and annoy all your neighbors by throwing “tool parties” and trying to sell them torpedo levels.
The idea is to “empower women through education, quality tools and an independent business opportunity.”
But for those women who would rather have some he-man fix things around the house: yes, Tomboy Tools does sell studfinders.
Just don’t point that thing at us.
