CNN.com has a good article on 7 Rules for a Tidy Inbox. Keeping your business email under control can be a challenge. I get hundreds of email everyday and have a detailed file and filter system for email. But, I violate most of the Rules set out in this article. I may have to rethink my email management. I have hundreds of filters set up for clients, projects, colleagues, etc.
Rule #2 is Organize around action, not data. I set up an Action Folder quite a while ago. My problem is that I don’t review it frequently enough. I tend to go with what’s in front of me at any given time.
