If you need to talk to prospects for your home based business, do you use a script? There are lots of scripts available for prospect calling. The problem with scripts is that if you use them verbatim, you run the risk of sounding like a robot. No one wants to talk to a robot so you see the problem with that?
The best use of a script is to use it as a guideline for your phone conversation. There isn’t a perfect script because everyone you talk to is going to be different. No two people are going to have the same conversation with you because each of them will have different questions and will present a variety of concerns.
A script might be used verbatim for the first sentence or two, but beyond that the conversation can go in all sorts of different directions. A good script will have a variety of questions to ask. Don’t just read them all out because they may not all apply. The important thing is to listen to what your prospect is saying. You can use the portions of the script that might apply to their concerns and questions. The best script is one that comes directly and genuinely from you.
