Nau had its heart in the right place, but not the financing. With five retail locations in less then one year of operations, the environmentally conscious eco-clothier is closing its doors. In its “Goodbye For Nau” statement on its website, the company explains that it could not raise the necessary funds in a credit crunch economy. The company didn’t just sell eco friendly clothing, but meshed its total corporate vision with sustainability and responsibility.
The Sundance Channel is actually airing a segment on Nau tonight, part of “Big Ideas for a Small Planet” that was taped before the closure.
