About a year ago, I heard an interview of someone who was discussing health and obesity in our country. The lady being interviewed was a high-ranking government official. It was probably the Surgeon General but I don’t remember exactly.
The reason I mention this is because even though I can’t remember the name or title of this lady I remember one thing she said very clearly. She said most of us could easily be healthier and more physically fit by doing two simple things:
1. Eat Less.
2. Move More.
This is an excellent example of a memorable message.
It’s short, simple, clear, catchy and easy to remember.
Sure it would be nice if I remembered exactly who said it but that was not her intent. Her purpose was to give people an easy to remember and easy to implement plan to be healthier. Maybe she did not create this message but I give her a lot of credit for using it to further her mission of educating people about how to be healthier.
As we think about ways to promote our own businesses, it’s not a bad idea to keep this simple yet effective message in mind. Can you make your marketing messages as simple and effective as this one?
