“When I bought a game-and-hobby store after six years in corporate America, I didn’t realize the leap to entrepreneurship would be so huge. I was headed for a classic case of culture shock.
The biggest adjustment to make was not having a paycheck every two weeks. I was lucky to have some cash available to make payments on my business loan as well as cover personal and living expenses. My wife’s income from her own career has helped make my transition easier financially.”
– The cliche applies, ‘Just because you can operate in a business does not mean that you can run it.’ It takes a different mindset, as this entrepreneur finds out then when you are working for someone and is not necessarily easy, or possible, for everyone to do. But I Encourage everyone to try, otherwise how will you know? -ed.
