The Unclutterer recently turned me on to a great idea for note-taking in pages that aren’t yours or which shouldn’t be destroyed. When reading a book or important report, we all want to be able to write notes in the margins, to highlight important passages, or to make edits. However, when the book came from the library or a colleague, you just cannot indulge these impulses.
People want to interact with the text, and especially when we’re talking about our professional lives, there are things we need to answer, to emphasize, to edit.
The solution? Use post-it notes or scrap paper to organize and retain ideas; don’t deface a book you shouldn’t. An even better and more exciting solution? 3M Sheer Colors Post-it notes.
Pretty cool, huh?
