Small Business Q&A In my business, other than doing some of the technical things with the computer, I do it all. I have found that this limits me in growing and taking on new clients. I wish I had someone to help me. This has put my creativity on hold for a very long time. I miss that part. What can I do?
This is a very common issue for small business owners. You can do more than wish for someone to help you. You can make it happen.
Reconnect with the goals for your business and your vision for its future. Write them down. Put your business vision where you will see it every day. This will help you maintain your focus.
Next, put a value on your time. How much is your time worth? $25 / $50 / $100 / $150 dollars an hour? Or more? When you get busy doing those things that don’t directly enable your vision and goals, consider how much they are costing you (your worth times number of hours) plus the intangible cost of what you are not doing because you are engaged in another task.
If it would cost you less to outsource, do it!
