In this day and age, a few hours can put a big dent in the brand you’ve worked so hard to develop. With sites like FaceBook, Twitter and YouTube, news travels at a lightening fast pace around the world and then makes it to mainstream news media which can cause an additional stir.
That’s what happened this week to Dominos Pizza. Two employees posted a video on YouTube (no longer available) showing one of them doing disgusting things to food and laughing about it. They have been fired and arrested. You can read a good description of the story on USA Today.
And for a large company, Dominos has been quick to respond using the same medium that hit their brand (video below and you can follow them on twitter at @dpzinfo ) so the damage is controlled as much as possible.
