Sales Kickstart, a new small business webinar series, is profiling the hot and hip and sharp young companies out there that are doing it right and driving online sales. We post other details at the Sales Kickstart page related to these amazing companies.
Before PRWeb agreed to provide a prize for our contest, I read about Vedante and founder, Barbara Kantor, and was impressed with her success online.
Vedante sells fashionable super-reflective accessories for people and pets. More essential in this crazy economy is how they transformed a bricks-and-mortar business plan into an e-commerce strategy and fueled sales online, with extra credit to PRWeb. She also uses Twitter and Facebook and YouTube. The Facebook page seems to communicate best about the brand’s participation in different communities.
As readers of this blog know, I’m always thrilled with businesses that have a great approach or a great niche. Barbara has found both.
Protect your pets video on YouTube.
Barbara has an amazing press page and credits much of her success to her use of online press releases, via PRWeb. The company profile on YouTube is excellent and you can find it on this channel. Barbara’s enthusiasm is part of what sells her product — online or offline.
By placing her video prominently on her home page, it generates an immediate click and “aha” moment in my view. Seeing that her product is more reflective, and snaps on quickly makes you take a second look. Hats off. I’m trying to think of some ways that she could show her product in more videos and still reinforce the brand. Ideas are welcome!
What I liked most is her commitment to become a B Corporation — are a new type of corporation that are purpose-driven and create benefit for all stakeholders, not just shareholders.
