Do you enjoy what you sell and how you service your clients? Do you have good endorsements from others, and have people giving you feedback that you are in alignment with what you think you are providing? Passion and love for what you do can take you a long way. Conversely, if you don´t enjoy what you are doing — communicating with others as a "change agent"?? — OR if you don´t like the products or services you represent — then people can see through it and they usually won´t purchase from you.
If you shake your head NO to all of this, all is not lost. FIND that product or service that really gets your juices going. Work for the business you believe in, or the cause that you can stand behind.
I found that any time I struggled in sales it was because I either didn’t really understand the value of what I was representing, or I didn’t get behind it – I didn’t think it was so great. Fortunately I learned over time to only get involved in what I feel ARE good, sound products and services – it makes life much better, especially those hours you spend at work.
