Last week my partner and I interviewed James Roche, The Info Product Guy. James spoke with us about creating information products for earning passive income and for marketing your services.
James advocates recording teleclasses and seminars, having them transcribed and then rewriting them to turn them into stand alone products your readers can buy. [We agree with this approach and use it ourselves!]
Or, if you aren´t doing classes, take one of your main services or processes that you go through with your clients and outline it to form an ebook or special report.
Whether you give it away for free as a way to get people to understand your work better, or whether you sell it for a small price, you are growing your database. You can then announce bigger ticket items to these people (the product funnel metaphor). James also shared his secret formula for coaching the product out of his clients.
If you missed the Conversation with James Roche, it’s available for a small fee.
My mentor, Tom Antion, told us we were crazy not to offer CDs for our audio programs, in addition to audio files. So now, we also now have CDs available for 4 of the Conversations we did with expert Bloggers. If you prefer CDs to mp3 files and missed the Conversations with Paul Chaney, T.L. Pakii-Pierce, Wayne Hurlbert and B.L. Ochman, you may want to grab a copy.
Or, we are also offering the CDs for sale on eBay so there’s an opportunity to get them at a
significant savings (this is another sales strategy recommended by Tom Antion). You can read about the eBay project on my Biz Tips Blog.
