Research network ChangeWave surveyed 1400 professionals in March, and it looks like Corporate America is getting on board for energy efficiency. More then a quarter of respondents said that their company has used less energy, while 23% report corporate plans to invest in more energy efficiencies within the next 6 months. Lighting is where they’re looking first, with LED lighting being chosen by 21%.
Only 8% say they are currently using alternative energy sources but 21% will be making installations within the next five years, with 72% looking towards solar and only 19% looking towards wind.
ChangeWave analyst Joshua Levine says: “A tremendous shift in corporate perception is occurring and it’s going to impact virtually all industries and create investment opportunities in the process.”
