I´ve been writing for www.allbusiness.com for about six months now and in that time I´ve covered a great deal of topics. So if you´ve missed a few of my columns here is a checklist of some of the more crucial points to remember"?¦..
"?¢ Always pay a telemarketer what he/she is worth (hint over $10.00 per hour to start).
"?¢ Start small. (1-2 telemarketers) depending on your budget. You can always hire more after you´ve put together a solid program.
"?¢ Be realistic about your expectations from the telemarketer. Get his/her input on what he/she can accomplish.
"?¢ Communication with your telemarketer is key. Don´t expect him/her to be a mind reader.
"?¢ Adding a commission to a salary is always a good thing.
"?¢ Pay for value and expect the same.
"?¢ Always make sure that your telemarketer has enough leads.
"?¢ Look for someone who wants to participate in the creation of a successful telemarketing campaign. The more input a telemarketer has in the creation of the program the more successful the program will become.
"?¢ Always give positive feedback on every appointment, sale etc. There is nothing more frustrating to a marketer than not hearing feedback on their work.
"?¢ Never offer a telemarketer a commission only assignment. We all want security. Salary plus commission, please.
When looking for a telemarketer"?¦
ï?? Newspapers are still the best resource for finding a good telemarketer. Small, independent papers are the most cost effective because the charge next to nothing for pacing an ad.
ï?? For part-time positions, try printing flyers for high school/college students who are looking to supplement their school funds. Also contact the placement counselors at college campuses (they will often let you place ads on their job board for free). Also think Career Days when it comes to finding talented tm´s. Senior citizens are also an excellent choice for part-time positions. They are dependable, hardworking, and full of life experience.
ï?? Search engines will sometimes allow you to place ads on their bulletin boards for around $20.00.
ï?? I also love www.craigslist.org for finding good telemarketers
