If given a choice between an established franchise and one just starting, what are the advantages and disadvantages for both?
This question is a veritable minefield depending on ones particular interests and loyalties.
In franchising, nothing beats a proven, structured system, and of course, that is usually the call to action used by the more established franchisors. (And, for the most part, I’d say they are right.)
On the other hand, a quality system is not necessarily the mark of an older system, as many new concepts come to market with excellent strategies, training, and support. The real key, as far as buying a franchise is concerned, is the ability of the buyer to discern (through proper franchise due diligence) which offering represents the best investment. Buying a franchise is tricky business. Getting professional help is usually a good idea.
