I recently wrote on the wonder that is texting Google with word meaning inquiries — thought I’d throw my know-how out there — and now I hear about an even cooler program.
Everyone has been in the situation where you are itching to know the answer to some question — whether completely random or job-related. Maybe you’re disputing with a friend as to the end of the Revolutionary War, or maybe you want to know who designed a particularly lovely building downtown. If you don’t have a SmartPhone or Iphone to get you onto Wikipedia, Cha Cha is your new, A-ha! savior.
Similarly to Google’s use, simply text your question to 242-242 — which spells “Cha Cha” just as 466453 spells “Google.” You should receive a text back with the answer.
I asked, “Who was Karl Blossfeldt?” I recently bought a print of his. He’s a bit obscure and wanted to know what I would get back.
This is the answer that I received: “He was a German instructor of sculpture who used his photographs of plant studies to educate his students about design elements.” Pretty nifty, eh? So what are you looking to find out?
