To involve employees and give them a break from what they are doing, time to think, change channel and sit, let them have 20 extra optional minutes a fortnight to be in nature. Be it planting, weeding, watering, thinning or pruning it will often allow ideas to emerge, stretch people’s legs and it helps their overall stress levels and health.
Produce grown can be shared during bonding lunches or sold to fundraise something for the business or social club.
Employees can also use skills and inspiration from their workplace garden to create one themselves thus letting them grow some of their own food and cutting down on the enormous amount of carbon emissions produced in the transportation of food.
