If you’ve been a business blogger for any length of time you’ve probably visited the Business Blog Consulting site run by business blog pioneer Rick Bruner.
It was one of the first sites I visited when starting my business-related blogging and to say I learned a lot from the site is an understatement of vast proportions. That’s why I was saddened when Rick announced his “semi-retirement” from the blog due to a job change that would leave him little time to devote to it. Rick contracted with some notable friends to post but that proved unsuccessful and the site was left to languish.
Not being one to leave well-enough alone I contacted Rick and proposed that he give it another try, making it a multi-blogger site comprised of business blog consultants and others of that ilk. He took me up on my offer, we put out the word, and I was overwhelmed with the response. We have over 25 bloggers who’ve commited to post at least once per week to the site.
Whether this will pan out over the long-haul is open to question. However, it is a grand experiment to be sure. So far as I know nothing like this has ever been done in strictly business blogging circles.
I applaud Rick’s willingness to give this a try. When you get a moment (like right now!) please visit the site. It has always had a lot to offer, and perhaps with the caliber of people contributing it has even more.
