For many years I’ve been a big fan of sales guru Jeffrey Gitomer. He’s been published in business journals all over the U.S. – probably the world – for many years. I’ve read most of his books on selling and visited his website quite frequently.
Of all of his works, my top favorite and my good recommendation for anyone wanting to master selling is his book, The Little Red Book of Selling. He did a great job with the “grade school-like primer” look and feel to it, and it is packed full of tips, strategies, and ideas to help you succeed – whether you are a biz owner who puts on the sales hat each day, or a full-fledged sales professional. This book is for you.
A fan of the basics, I like Jeffrey’s style and no-nonsense approach. In discussing success in selling, he offers 18 (and a half) tips – not just one or two. My favorite is the first one –
Believe You Can.
and he asks: How much do you believe in you?
something to ponder. Confidence is so crucial to selling success, this can’t be underestimated.
