I mentioned this previously, but it’s worth repeating: I’ve got a new ChangeThis manifesto proposal ready for your vote. It’s kinda languishing over there a little bit…a bump in votes would be real nice.
The proposal is on the ‘beatitudes of customer service.’ I’ve already written about it over at Business Thoughts, and re-posted it here. So why should you vote for a proposal of something you’ve already read? The best answer is that the pdf format makes it less likely to disappear. Right now you’ve got two URLs to point people to read that thing, but both blogs could eventually go away. A pdf will stick around and you can forward it to folks pretty easily. Sure, I could just produce a pdf myself and be done with it, but going through the ChangeThis channel exposes more folks to the thoughts.
You might also not care about "religious stuff." Cool. Consider, though, that it’s not really about religious stuff. It’s about treating people with compassion and empathy. It’s not all soft stuff–sometimes we still have to hold the line for our businesses. But we can do that without losing customers. The beatitudes have been read for thousands of years–there is wisdom there that we can all take a clue from, religious or not.
So, drop a vote, wouldya?
