The Guardian is talking not about being unique (see my Snowflake post, last), but about How to be remarkable. Close. It’s 10 “tips on making more of your nine-to-five this year”. Doesn’t matter if you run your own business. Being remarkable still applies, probably even more so.
After the snowflake post, I was particularly struck by the Guardian’s Tip #5: Remarkability lies in the edges. The biggest, fastest, slowest, richest, easiest, most difficult. It doesn’t always matter which edge, more that you’re at (or beyond) the edge.
Snowflakes grow at the edges, too. While you’re on your way to being unique, be remarkable.
