One approach I see a lot of small business owners use is Google Adwords. It’s a good way to get your ad in front of a lot of people and it’s a good way to lose a lot of money fast if you don’t do it correctly.
If you’re looking for a way to make money with Adwords and grow your business, it’s important to make sure you have taken the proper steps. Here’s what’s important.
- Your landing page. People make split second decisions about whether they are going to stay on a site or not. Make yours a keeper.
- Target your keywords. Be as specific as possible to ensure you get clicks only from people who have a high likelihood of interest in your product or service. Always test first.
- Track what’s working. Stay on top of your ads and tweak them, along with your keywords, as you discover what’s working well and what’s not.
Google adwords is much like any other advertising medium. The main difference is that you could spend a bunch of money without reaping the rewards if you aren’t careful. Be careful out there and test to make sure you are on the right track.
