Australian employees aren’t happy with the effort their bosses are putting into green initiatives. In a 1000 people survey, LinkMe.com.au heard that 37.7% of employees felt it was time the government created laws to force companies to go green.
Australian employers seem to be missing the boat when passing along green ideals to their people, with 32.6% reporting the green issues were never discussed at work, 34.6% reporting that their employer had no desire to be environmentally friendly, and 25% feeling that their employer didn’t care about the environment at all.
In 2008, a non-green message is not the message a company wants to be spreading amongst its troops. It’s bad for the image and bad for morale.
