I’m chunking away for the next couple days – creating brand spanking new posts did not make the cut. So I will let someone else cover for me!
Here is a great article about courage written by Gus Lee called, Rescaling the Heights: Leadership is Embracing Courage and Rejecting Fear. Gus is the author of Courage: The Backbone of Leadership. I love this quote from the article:
Courage is like the weather: it gets discussed, but few do anything
about it. Yet we earn our good, bad or sad characters by seeing and
doing. If we observe courage – visualize Gerdelman facing Ebbers – we
can do it. We own the wiring to face fear under pressure. But the
wiring won’t light up when we need it, unless we practice it when it’s
easy. Such as, today, in a tough talk.
Check it out! I endorsed Gus’s book in an earlier post here.
