I found this story in the ‘weird news’ category. A boy in Mexico enjoyed his Holiday vacation so much that that he detested the idea of going back to school. He hated the idea of going back to school so much, he glued his hand to the bed post in his bedroom with his father’s industrial strength glue! He made sure he had a television close at hand though so he might be comfortable whilst being stuck to the bedpost.
This seemed like a metaphor for the situation a lot of adults have in their own professional lives. “Stuck” to jobs they don’t really like; jobs that give them little or no personal satisfaction and fulfillment. When people are stuck, their lives become a repeative routine (often with television being a big part of that routine). Opportunities such as starting a home-based business seem far away and out of the question.
If you’re ‘stuck’ have you thought about getting unstuck and moving toward that home-based business? Remember, being ‘stuck’ is a choice even if it doesn’t seem like it. As for the boy in Mexico, the paramedics had to ‘unstick’ him and alas…. he ended up in school anyway with a very sore hand!
