PCs are more susceptible to attack by malware, worms, Trojan horses, spyware, and other types of invasion than Apple computers mainly because there are far more of them sold. In fact, Apple computers currently represent only 6.6 percent of the total personal computing market share. Microsoft in particular has continually fallen victim to attacks because of its ongoing problems patching security holes. But ultimately it’s the users’ responsibility to protect their computers by installing antivirus applications, keeping firewalls enabled, and not opening questionable e-mail attachments.
