I’ve gone through my blog posts, and organized the posts
relating to business valuations. I think
there is some good stuff there, and I hope it proves to be helpful.
Also, my partner Fred Hall is a trained business
appraiser. He’s authored a white paper
on basic business valuation and I would be happy to send that out on
request. You can find out more
information from our website www.compasspointcapital.com.
Valuations can be difficult.
If you have a small/medium size business and are remotely thinking of
selling within a few years, and want to get an idea of what you are worth, call
a business broker or M&A firm. Most
will give you an estimate or range at no charge. Believe me, we are used to working with
business owners for months or even years before they decide to sell. This way you can size up the company before
you finally engage with them.
