Well, we like waving flags as much as anyone (and we love the Gremlin) but our education system is just fine.
How do we know? Because we just heard about Gauri Nanda, who graduated from MIT, then poured her years of high-tech training into: a new alarm clock.
Those aforementioned experts may laugh. But we’re not talking any old alarm clock here. This is the Clocky. It not only beeps in the morning, it jumps off your bedside table and motors around the room till you chase it down and turn it off.
Pretty ingenious, if you ask us.
Detroit-native Nanda says she was inspired by her own trouble waking up. As a student, she’d hit the snooze button for hours on end.
Before she knew it, her once-promising life had spiraled into a bleak vortex of warm beer, cold pizza and 3 a.m. infomercials for the Swivel Sweeper.
We made that last part up. But, regardless, let it serve as a warning to all you snooze-button junkies out there: consider a Clocky.
Or consider job as a blogger, where beer, pizza and late-night TV are no cautionary tale. They’re a way of life.
