Well, I spent a better part of the weekend doing what I call ‘Administrivia’. It was going over some invoices, reconciling some small accounts that I have not yet turned over to the bookkeeper, catching up on some filing, looking at cash flow, and some other misc. things. My did that filing need catching up on! When the “file this” box gets piled so high that you can’t see over it, you know it’s time do something. I starting thinking about some of the time consuming, non revenue-producing things that eat up my time and decided that it might be time to hand more things off.
I was reminded how quickly a home-based business can become just like a “job” if one allows it to be it. The end of the year is a good time to reflect on where the business has been and think about where it might go next year. A full business review will be in store right after the new year. Meanwhile, now that I’ve caught up on the Administrivia, I can turn to getting the most out of websites this month for the Holidays.
