Nearly half of companies with 10 or fewer employees say that no one is trying to sell them employee benefits, according to AARP Services Inc. So, the subsidiary of AARP is trying to fill that void.
AARP Services has luanched an initiative to assist small business owners with group health insurance, retirement planning and payroll services.
Being test-marketed in Chicago and Tampa, the Small Business Services benefits package includes health and disability insurance options through United Healthcare, 401(k) retirement plans from AARP Financial and payroll solutions from Intuit.
Also available is a Web site about the various services.
