Concerns for water supplies are on the rise with the knowledge that scarcity
of water will create great economic hardships. A new tool developed by the
World Business Council for Sustainable Development helps companies to monitor their
water usage and assess the risks of water scarcity to their global operations
and supply chains.

many of its sites are currently at risk from water scarcity, as well as future
The project was developed by the WBCSD’s Water Working Group, assisted by an
advisory board made of 22 member companies, including ITT, CH2M Hill, Alcan,
Dow Chemical, DuPont, Kimberly Clark, PepsiCo, Rio Tinto, Shell and Unilever.
