As a chef it’s not easy to make this transition into the digital age. I feel much more comfortable working in front of a stove, but if I want to keep current these are imperative changes that have to be made. Not to mention the fact that it is not easy to find the courage and faith to truly believe in yourself enough to ask for help.
A small business is a tough area to work in. Because often, as in my case, at least in the beginning, the small business owner has to go the road alone until the money and resources provide you with the ability to lighten the work load. I have four kids and a full family life to tend to as well.
But it’s very important, especially if you have assets, such as property, to assure that all of your bases are covered with insurance, the government and so-f orth. So today is my day to develop my vision, break it down into categories, figure how much money I need and present the whole package to my prospective investors.
I know that if I do the work, stay focused and dedicated, good things will happen. If any of you find yourself in the same position, simply trust that you are worth it. Do the foot work and leave the rest up to the great mysteries of cosmic opportunity. If things work out, you can cook to your heart’s desire with the confidence that your bases are covered and you are current with the rapidly changing business paradigm.
Good luck to me and to you.
