Since you’re reading this I would guess you’ve at least heard of the potential benefits of adding a blog as part of your marketing communications strategy. Over the course of the next few days I’m going to outline in some detail seven reasons you should consider doing so.
Here’s the first: Brand Building
Building brand awareness is a key component in any marketing communications strategy. How important? Here’s what one person had to say…
Branding is more than just a business buzzword. It has become the crux of selling in the new economy. If the old marketing mantra was,”Nothing happens until somebody sells something,” the new philosophy could be”Nothing happens until somebody brands something.”
Your blog can become another channel through which you draw attention to your brand. Not only can you draw attention to it, you can “pontificate” on it. Blogs let you “tell the story” of your brand over and over again, allowing your customers to become both familiar and comfortable with it.
In the next post I’m going to talk about how a blog can help you differentiate yourself from your competitors. Check back again soon!
