I love being surprised and this definitely surprised me. The infamous Palto Alto Research Center unveiled 10 projects at an open house, and they’ve answered the question, “what will they think of next?”
It’s an inkless, reusable paper.
Recognizing that half the time when we print something, we print it for a read and then throw it in the recycling bin, PALC is working on a copy paper where the printing disappears after 24 hours, and the paper can be thrown back in the printer/copier. Best of all, the new technology doesn’t use ink or toner, so we may be able to finally say goodbye to those 350 million cartridges that hit the landfill every year.
Big thumbs up to Xerox for funding all of this.
