Many of us set goals in early 2007 that we haven’t reached yet. We are no different. At NationLink Wireless® our goal is to grow top line by 70% and maintain at least a 20% profitability. And now its Q4- time to finish what e we started. One way we keep things on target is by using “themes” to motivate and keep everyone moving toward a short term goal that supports a long term goal. Q4’s goal is “Run to the finish line”. The finish line in our case is revenue driven. We have created a race track that is numbered by division by their target and the team members move the token around the track each Monday. We have finish line flags all over the office and we have the “big money jacket” that the daily top producer wears during our huddle each morning. And to top if off the reward (don’t ever for get the reward- all the fun in the world doesn’t replace a carrot) is the entire company and their “significant other” gets to travel to New Orleans as a group and celebrate finishing- so go finish what you started in January.
Areas of Expertise: Business Coaching
As the founder of Petra Coach, Andy Bailey can cut through organizational BS faster than a hot knife through butter, showing organizations the logjams thwarting their success and coaching them past the excuses we all use to avoid doing what needs to be done. Andy learned how to build great organizations by building a great business, which he started in college, then grew into an Inc. 500 multi-million dollar national company that he successfully sold and exited. He founded Petra to pass on to other entrepreneurs, business owners, and leaders the principles and practices he used to build his successful enterprise, which are rooted in the Rockefeller Habits methodology. Andy serves in an advisory role on the Gazelles Council, The Leaders of the ScaleUp Movement.
