A while back, I wrote this blog post about using auctions to draw eBay buyers into your eBay store. What kinds of things can you put in your auction description to entice buyers to your eBay store? Most eBay sellers enjoy better margins from store items so there is good incentive for this. The best thing is to give buyers a good reason to go to your store. Here are some possibilities.
Free or Reduced Shipping offers – In your eBay auction, you charge shipping. But if they buy from your eBay store, offer them free or reduced shipping.
Return policy – Maybe the item in your auction is sold ‘as is’ (no returns). But if they buy from your eBay store, offer them a 30-day return policy.
Bonus Product – There’s nothing like giving away something to draw people in. Add something to your items only if purchased in your eBay store.
Large Order Free Shipping – A variation of the free shipping offer is to offer free shipping if the buyer purchases over a certain amount. For example; free shipping for orders totaling $50 or more.
If you use any of these techniques, make sure to make mention of them in your auction listing(s)!
You probably won’t have much luck just saying “please visit my eBay store” but if you give your shoppers actual enticing reasons to browse your store, you’ll see better results.
