First of all, what IS “top” knowledge? We are absolutely bombarded with information. The trick is to distill it, assimilate it, and turn it into valuable knowledge for ourselves and others around us. It’s much easier said than done.
Three basic sources we’ll be talking about on our Monday morning sales inspiration call today are these (and remember you are always welcome to dial into the telecall…. only charge is a U.S. long distance number)
Your circle of influence
Outside topic experts, Internet, others
Yourself: I start with ourselves because we have a lot more stored inside than we often think we do. This is where you go to determine the real value you bring to any sales opportunity, and where you can go for inspiration. Now I know some people think that you need to look outside to others for advice and guidance – so let me be clear. You know more than you tihnk you do – we often just get overwhelmed and not focus on what we really know for sure. Just ask Oprah. Or, look at the magnificent career of Tony Robbins – he’s been helping people to look inside themselves for his entire “guru” career.
Your Circle of Influence: This is where building a network of alliance partners, or circle of influence is so critical. It is NOT just for referrals between yourselves… those closest to you and those you trust, admire and interract with can give you feedback and they can be your ears beyond your own. Once you’ve established strong relationships with others you know and trust, your business can grow ten-fold.
The rest: outside topic experts, Internet, and others: this is the huge world of information out there. Be focused, be targeted. Set your own compass and direction – otherwise you can become totally overwhelmed.
Interesting that the 3 sources started with yourself, isn’t it? What do you know that you haven’t thought about for a while?
