THE HOOK: Targeted at the 'tween and teen consumer market, Kickerz offers sour flavor crystals on the outside, with a sweet candy on the inside. The package is designed to communicate

cate the `kick' of the sour (green) on sweet (red) flavor benefit. The product is now available in mass market, drug and convenience stores nationwide.

VARIETIES: Strawberry, cherry, watermelon and green apple.

INGREDIENTS: Sugar, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, citric and malic acids (for tartness), natural and artificial flavor, artificial color (red 40, yellow 5, blue 1).

SUGGESTED RETAIL PRICE: Sold in several sizes ranging from a 6.25-oz. peg bag for $1.49, a 3.0-oz. bag for $.99, to a 1.1-oz. bag for $.50. Peg bag and individual bags are in a front-end display carton for the impulse purchase at the retail point-of-sale.
