A compact, mechanically simple VL 480 lidder from SWF Companies applies lids and seals trays in one continuous motion, at speeds up to 30 trays per minute.

Designed for a wide variety of standard, design style and bliss style trays, the VL 480 provides a fast, strong, four-sided seal. Applications include prepared foods, dairy products, snacks and any other product segment that requires lidding and sealing of corrugated trays.

The VL 480 has a flexible, adjustable design which can accommodate a wide range of tray sizes. The open layout of the machine makes adjustments and maintenance simple and also keeps changeover time to a minimum. An easy loading lid hopper can be filled while the machine is still in operation.

Standard features include Allen Bradley components, gravity roller discharge and a pressurized hot melt glue unit.
