Sweet Profiles.

Guy DeBas, president of DeBas Chocolatier, Fresno, California, and his wife Wendy established their wholesale manufacturing operation out of necessity. Prior to 1995, they had been importing chocolates from Chantilly, the DeBas' family's chocolate company in Beirut, Lebanon.

When that

factory was bombed, "We were stuck here with accounts but no chocolate to supply them," says Guy. "So we started making chocolate in our house from scratch. We believe we have the best product in the world, and during hard times we never compromised on quality."

FAVORITE MOVIE: Uncle Buck. Through its humor comes a message of the moral standard of compassion.

PET PEEVE: When someone else says they are selling quality and it really is not, then that hurts everyone else in the industry.

DREAM VACATION: To stay at home and help my wife with the yard work.
